ISTD - initial research - fashion bloggers

About me - under construction
Independence, editorial freedom and honesty are core values of blogging. It's what makes (fashion)blogs so relevant and sets them apart from any other kind of medium. In order to stick to these values and remain completely transparent, I've dedicated this section to the protocols of ethics that I apply to this blog.

All the advertisements on Love Aesthetics are from companies that I support, whose philosophies I believe in and whose products I know.

DIY and cyber-minimalist rarely walk on the same side of the street, let alone share the road at all. This is what makes Ivania Carpio of Love Aesthetics a true standout: She's not only the one doing what she's doing, she's the best one at it anyway. Her sensibility is clear and unwavering, weaving fantasy out of black-and-white industrial starkness.

Elin Kling is the co-founder and partner of Fashion Networks, the owner of NOWMANIFEST – One of the world’s leading online platforms for fashion, which was recently sold to Conde Nast.
Fashion Director of her own critically acclaimed magazine STYLEBY, which she founded together with Sweden’s largest media power-house Bonnier.
She is also the first fashion-blogger in the world to have her own collection for H&M. The unique and exclusive collaboration launched in spring 2011. Elin is also featured in NET-A-PORTER’s Spring 2012 campaign, shot by the legendary Patrick Demarchelier. In the fall 2011 Elin joined forces with Guess by Marciano to create the brand’s first ever design collaboration. The collection will hit Guess stores globally in November 2012.
Elin Kling started her online career in 2007, when she launched Scandinavia’s largest fashion-blog – Style by Kling. Style By Kling has won several awards, both as a blog and as a Web-TV show – inspired by the blog. Elin got her start in fashion as the fashion-editor of the lifestyle-magazine SOLO. After that she was the front of the fashion-department of Sweden’s second largest daily newspaper; Expressen. During that period Sweden’s largest TV-network, TV4, hosted her blog. In 2009 she was the head stylist for Swedish IDOL, and in 2010 she became a household name when she competed in “Dancing With the Stars”.

Elin Kling for Marciano

Raised in a rural area of Sweden, fashion wasn't a big topic in Elin Kling's upbringing. However, her style was quickly recognised by the Swedish community in her twenties and she was encouraged by a friend to launch a blog. Style by Kling was created and became Sweden's largest fashion blog in just two days. Now in its fifth year, Elin's blog has become globally recognised and she's seen as a highly respected style icon by the fashion community. Hot on the (stylish) heels of her blog's success, she became the director of her own fashion magazine, StyleBy, as well as the found and partner of Fashion Networks, Sweden's largest online fashion community, which includes NowManifest. Elin is well-known by fashion enthusiasts not only for her unique and modern style, but for her creativity and on-pulse view of today's trends.

Personal style and inspiration blog by two best friends.

'One of the few truly authentic things left on the internet. A blog of two friends who document their style with posts that look like editorials, featuring matching outfits and beautiful collages. There is no other blog that comes close to being similar to Iris' and Daniel's one.' - Ivania Carpio

'Don't be fooled by their pen name...this boy/girl duo has it all. Iris and Daniel are 18-year old best friends who love style, fashion and American Apparel. They co-write this blog together, as well as contribute to Chictopia's Everybody is Ugly segment. Iris says her style is "ladylike but not too sweet," and that she loves "chic simplicity, warm neutrals and odd color combinations." What a coincidence! So do we. Daniel's style is classic with a twist. He loves simplicity and minimalism, accented with opulence, and admits to enjoying a hint of androgyny with this look. See how this daring duo dons American Apparel, and does so with a rebellious twist.' - American Apparel

My name is Andrew Chipman and I've been blogging on Pullteeth for 4 years. Pullteeth is a personal style blog, mainly focusing on outfit posts and do-it-yourself projects.

'Besides his blog he is also an online editor over at MTV Canada. Andrew has a sick skill to put together vintage with new, outrageous prints with minimal pieces, masculine clothes and skirt (yes skirts) and make it look completely amazing.' - Ivania Carpio

25 Year old BA Hons Fashion Design Graduate from Kent, United Kingdom. One of the ones hit by the recession and trying hard to make things happen. Voted 2012's Best Established Fashion Blogger in Cosmopolitans #cosmoblogawards!  Currently work as a Sales Assistant Part Time.

'Strutt offers an alternative, grungy style for those of you looking to mix things up and make a statement with fahsion. This girl can mix mesh and leather make it work. Very brave, but it pays off. Her fashion oozes retro 90's style and offers a quirky, bold view on today's fashion.'

Millie. 21. I'm a journalism student at University of the Arts London. I write about all things fashion, lifestyle, beauty and music that I recommend and appreciate. There's also some of my own style thrown in too.

Blogger turned fashion-insider Jane Aldridge launched Sea of Shoes as a hobby in 2007, and has since gone from everyday high school girl to serious tastemaker. Her site exists as a photo diary of her skillfully styled ensembles, comprised of cool mash-ups of vintage and designer pieces paired with incredible, covetable shoes, of course. Aldridge has directly influenced sales for designers and has gotten in on the design game with an Urban Outfitters footwear collaboration as well as a project with her mother Judy for contemporary label Gryphon.

Rumi Neely is a fashion blogger known for her style and photography and is of Japanese, Dutch, and Scottish descent.
Neely began her site called Fashiontoast in 2008 and combined it with an eBay vintage store called "Treasure Chest Vintage". By 2009, it was receiving over 35,000 hits per day. She is represented by NEXT modelling agency's Los Angeles branch and Les Pros Entertainment in Japan.
Rumi designed two pieces for RVCA and has also modelled for their company. In late April 2010, she modelled for a Forever 21 campaign, as well as modelling for Rebecca Minkoff's Spring/Summer 2011 Presentation during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. She is featured in the October catalogue for Free People.
In November 2010, she partnered with Dannijo for a six-piece jewellery collection exclusive available on Tobi.com. Rumi also collaborated with REVOLVEclothing by creating her own online boutique via their new myREVOLVE feature. In December 2010, she collaborated with Shopbop to create her Christmas Wish list, now available to view to the public. In February 2011 she won both Best Personal Style Blog and Blogger of the Year at the Bloglovin' Awards. In May 2011, Neely modelled in Bulgar's Save the Children campaign with Kristin Prim, which supported the fashion house's philanthropic efforts.
Rumi gets much of her fashion inspiration from models Erin Wasson and Daria Werbowy.
