COFFEE CUP SLEEVES

Coffee Sleeve inspiration

These sleeves combine both humour and simplicity to make for really effective designs. They demonstrate how colour restriction can improve design. Little statements and sayings like this are a way of making a positive impact on the consumer, without having to try too hard. The stitching and hand-made qualities of the sleeves are also very intriguing, making them re-useable and something that you would treasure for a long time.

Although not a sleeve, different ways of working onto a cup have been considered here. The simple use of fine liner has had a great impact on a simple product. Although time consuming, a different form of illustration is something to be considered.
The whole cup has also been used, which is something to think about as people evidently don't just hold a cup in one place. It would be nice to think that this is something that people would keep, however for our chosen audience, something like this couldn't necessarily be carried around all day. This is definitely more just for it's aesthetic qualities than actual use.

These sleeves show a use of humorous quotes, which definitely appeal to our audience, and give that entertainment factor. However, the design is not the most interesting, and the colours are all a little bit garish. It's quite difficult to make out what is going on, and the quotes in the block of colour look a little bit of a place.

Inspirational quotes have been adapted here to give the consumer a positive feeling. Although a nice message, the design isn't appropriate to our product. They definitely have that 'natural' aesthetic to them, however, a different use of colour could create different emotions.

This demonstrates how the sleeve can have more than one use. Protection and decoration. It is nice to have something that you could carry around and something. Something with more than one purpose is always a bonus, and it would be comforting knowing that it wouldn't just be disposed off like most coffee sleeves.
