For our product, before we went away for the weekend, colour scheme was discussed and it was decided that we would look at only using a select number of colours. Although this is the first brief where we haven't been restricted by the use of the colour, sometimes less is more. The use of white, grey and another colour, possibly teal, were to be looked at before Monday.
Whilst looking at packaging design, it was important to look out for use of colour, especially if the colours were restricted to a small number.

Here, Colle+McVoyhas have created eight letter-pressed holiday gift cards using only two colours and stock. In some cases, there just isn't any need to go overboard on colour. This works perfectly and the cards are also extremely humorous.
As our product is intended to hold a lot of information, too much going on colour-wise may distract from this. Although the younger generation tend to be attracted to colour, as long as we choose wisely a restricted scheme should hopefully be more effective.
