After collecting all of my colour images from the web, I then went on to print these out in black and white. Once this was done, each separate image was cut out and then scanned back into digital format. This gave a really interesting DIY aesthetic, allowing you to see where the image had been cut. It also lowered the quality of the image, which is something that I wanted to happen for this project. Not all images were printed in one go, they were printed as my zines developed and as and when I needed them.
Once these were scanned in, I then used the magnetic tool on photoshop to cut out each different image. In order to keep things organised, I created a number of different files where they could be placed. By using this method, I was able to create different layouts straight on Illustrator. This way, I could keep the aesthetic that I desired, whilst also not having the permanency of glue. Once all layouts are complete, I will then reprint each page and scan them back in again. Before doing this, I will draw on certain pages, and include stickers, sequins and so on within the scan.
