WORKING FROM EXISTING LETTERFORMS

Notion Magazine
This letter shows a lot of structure, formed by a collection of solid vertical lines. Although shaped like a triangle, it is still evident what letter it is supposed to represent, however this may be supported further by the other letters around it.

This 'A' formed the idea of stripping the letter down to create one that you could construct/put together. Tracing the letter allowed me to scale it down to fit it inside of the 15cm x 15cm box, removing some of the top and bottom. From this it could be deconstructed and placed inside the box in it's singular sections.

Fundamentals of Typography
This is a poster that was created specifically for an architecture exhibition, designed by a Chilean design studio. The idea is that it is drawn like a solid structure which is then meant to represent building and architecture. The crossbar placed in the middle forms an eye referring to visitors 'looking at things'.
