The aim of this brief is to 'produce a set, series or sequence of ten visual variations of a letterform that explore and communicate my interpretation of the words I have selected'.
The word given to me by the "randomizer" was 'build'.
At first I was extremely disappointed with this word. After a few attempts at some examples, I became increasingly frustrated with it.
There are a few evident ways in which I could go with this word, however they seem extremely obvious. The first thing that would come to mind is use of 'bricks' to build up a letter. This could also be ventured off into the use of 'lego' and so on.
To get a bit more inspiration, I collected some definitions. This could also be ventured off into the use of 'lego' and so on.
Strangely enough, I had previously featured the work of Paul Henri Masson on my blog during the research section of my summer brief, in which he created an alphabet from lego blocks.
